Description: The altered scale or super-Locrian: the seventh mode of melodic minor containing 1, ♭2, ♭3, ♭4/3, ♭5, ♭6, ♭7 with every possible 9, 11, and 13 altered. It is the standard jazz scale for V7alt chords, maximising tension before resolving to a tonic minor or major.
