Scale Notes & Info
Scale: C bebop
Description: Typically refers to the dominant bebop scale: a Mixolydian scale with an added major 7th passing tone (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ♭7, 7). It gives eight notes per octave so that chord tones fall consistently on downbeats in fast bebop lines, a hallmark of Parker and Gillespie-style phrasing.
Notes (pitch classes): C, D, E, F, G, A, A#, B
