Scale: C dorian #4
Description: A Dorian-based mode with a raised 4th (1, 2, ♭3, ♯4, 5, 6, ♭7), appearing in melodic and harmonic major systems. It offers a minor-tonic sound with a Lydian-like #11 colour and is used in contemporary jazz, fusion and film cues for a subtly 'outside' minor flavour.
