Scale Notes & Info
Scale: C lydian diminished
Description: A hybrid scale sometimes equated with Lydian ♭3 (1, 2, ♭3, ♯4, 5, 6, 7), combining Lydian's sharp 4th with a minor 3rd. It underpins minor-major or 'quartal-minor' harmony and appears in 20th-century classical and jazz contexts as a way to colour m(maj7) or altered major chords.
