Scale Notes & Info
Scale: C ritusen
Description: A Japanese- and Scottish-associated pentatonic often described as a 'neutral' or 'suspended' major pentatonic variant (1, 2, 4, 5, 6). It omits both 3rd and 7th, creating a very open, folk-like sonority; some sources equate it with the so-called Scottish pentatonic used in Celtic melodies and Japanese koto repertoires.
